As H1N1, previously known as swine flu, seems to be transmitted easily and rapidly through residential communities, there is a possibility that Harvard may contend with major student absences at the end of the term. You may be called upon to prepare, for students who become ill, a makeup exam to be administered before Winter Recess. In addition, it may be prudent to identify a substitution to a regular proctored exam should we need to move in that direction.
